Hermann-Grima House

The Hermann-Grima House, built in 1831, is a rare example of Federal-style architecture in the French Quarter. The house, once home to prosperous merchant families, has been carefully restored to reflect urban life in 19th-century New Orleans, including its original slave quarters and open-hearth kitchen.

As part of the Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses, it offers educational programs and guided tours that explore the lives of both the wealthy residents and the enslaved individuals who worked in the home. Its preservation efforts have earned national recognition for historical authenticity.
