Louisiana State Bank Building
The Louisiana State Bank Building, completed in 1822, stands as one of the oldest surviving bank buildings in the city. Its Greek Revival facade and strong, classical details reflect the financial power and optimism of early 19th-century New Orleans.
Although no longer a functioning bank, the building remains an important architectural landmark. Preservation efforts have helped retain its historical integrity, making it a striking reminder of the city’s economic history and the rise of commerce along Royal Street.
