The Buttermilk Drop Bakery & Cafe

Dwight Henry’s Seventh Ward bakery, named for the buttermilk drop — a New Orleans pastry that lands somewhere between a beignet and a doughnut hole. One side of the building is the doughnut and king cake counter; the other side is a breakfast window serving chicken and waffles, eggs and grits. Opens early, six in the morning, and runs until the afternoon.
