Parisite Skatepark

The city’s first public skatepark, built under the I-610 overpass at Paris Avenue and Pleasure Street — the name is a pun on the site. It started in 2008 as a DIY project poured by local skaters, got bulldozed by the city in 2012, and was rebuilt through a partnership between the skaters, NORD and Tulane. Now an 18,000-square-foot mix of concrete and wood ramps and rails, open to skateboards, roller skates, BMX and scooters, daily 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Address: 1600 Pleasure St, New Orleans, LA 70122, USA
